Tallow is valued in soap primarily because its high saturated fatty acid content (palmitic and stearic acid) produces a hard, long-lasting bar with a stable, creamy lather and effective cleansing, while its fatty acid profile closely mirrors human skin lipids, potentially supporting skin barrier function. We choose the herbs for their calming and antibacterial effects. These bars are finely scented with the natural herbal infusion and spice scent (orange) or citrus (green). We make them with local, pesticide-free tallow and almond oil infused with rosemary, thyme, sage, and nettle, grown or foraged at the 99-acre wood or sourced from organic farms.
